Raita is an Asian dish which is prepared using Curd/Yogurt along with any cooked or Raw Vegetables .Generally it is used as an accomplishment with Biryani /Pulao or any stuffed Paratha. Many variations can be made in this Raita. I have shared the version using Capsicum/Bell Peppers today.
Capsicum Raita recipe

Thick Curd – 1 cup
Capsicum – 1 medium sized
Onion – 1
Salt as needed
Oil – 1 tsp
Mustard Seeds – ½ tsp
Coriander Leaves to garnish
Green Chilli -1
1. Take thick curd in a bowl and whisk it well and set it aside. In a pan add oil and heat it up add in mustard seeds let it splutter next add in Onion let it cook till translucent and then add in Capsicum.
2. Sauté everything for 3 mins in a medium flame such that still the crunch in the capsicum remains. Now switch off the flame and add this to the curd and mix well. Next add in the chopped green chillies, Coriander leaves and salt and mix well. Serve immediately.Notes:
- Tastes best when served with any Pulao or Biryani.
- Roasted Cumin Powder can also be added to the Raita.
