As in Villages people cannot afford to cool drinks or Fresh juices very frequently, they go for butter milk. It is usually prepared by Seasoning Buttermilk with some spices and tadka.

Yogurt – 1 cup

Step by step pictorial representation:
1. Take the yogurt in a bowl and add in water and salt, Beat up well to get Buttermilk. Heat a pan add in oil once it heats up add in Hing,mustard seeds ,let it splutter, Then add in cumin seeds, Urad Dal, Ginger pieces and fry for 30 secs.
2. Next add in Curry Leaves and Dry Red Chilli. Toss everything together and then add in the Buttermilk to the pan and switch off the stove immediately .Let it stand for another 5 mins and then serve.
Enjoy your buttermilk and beat the heat.
