Aloo Tikki is one of the famous North Indian Street food. Every Region Of India have their own variations in their Aloo tikki. Today I am sharing a very simple Recipe of Aloo tikka. It can be used in Chats or even in Veg Burger. It tastes good with Green Chutney or Tamarind Chutney. It can be prepared either by deep frying or shallow frying, But I have grilled the Aloo Tikki’s which makes it even more delicious. Now let’s get started with the Recipe.

Aloo Potato – 3 medium sized
Corn Flour – 1-2 tbsp
Red Chilli powder – 2 tsp
Garam Masala – ½ tsp
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Curry Leaves - 3 springs
Salt as needed
Oil as needed to grill + 2 tsp
Step by step Method with pictures:
1. Wash the Potatoes well and in a pressure cooker cook it for 3 whistles or till soft .Wait till the potato gets released all by itself and the peel the skin of the potato. With a potato masher mash the boiled potatoes. You can also grate the potatoes but make sure there are no lumps in the potatoes.
2. Along with the mashed potatoes add in Red Chilli powder ,turmeric powder,Garam Masala, Salt and Chopped Curry Leaves .Give a rough mix and the finally add in the Corn flour and bring in the aloo together to form a dough.
3. Add 2 tsp of oil to this and knead the dough once again till it resembles soft. Now divide the dough into equal sized balls and gently roll and pat to form patties.
4. Heat a grill pan drizzle in some oil and once it becomes hot add the patties and cook in medium flame till they turn golden and crisp and they are cooked will.
5. Drain in paper tissue and serve hot along with Green Chutney or Sweet Tamarind Chutney and Ketchup.
Notes:
· The Aloo Patties can be used in burgers or Chats.
· It tastes good with Green Chutney or Sweet Tamarind Chutney and Ketchup.
· You can also add Coriander leaves and mint leaves along with the Curry Leaves.
