Orange Granita is a frozen summer dessert made by freezing fresh orange juice and then forming crystals. It helps to keep us hydrated.
Summer is in its peak so it is essential to keep us cool with some frozen delights .Orange granita is one great recipe to keep us hydrated .Orange has lot of Water Content and it is rich in Vitamin C. So when life gives us Oranges lets add some sugar and freeze it to make this awesome granite. That bright colour of the Oranges sure will impress anybody .Now let’s get started with the recipe!!

How to prepare Orange granita
2. In a Juicer add in the Orange Chunks, Ginger Sweetener if using.
3. Finally to this add in the Water and Lemon Juice. Blend well and strain the Juice by sieving using a strainer.
5. Transfer the freezer in a freezer safe box and freeze it completely. After 4 hours the Granita would be partially set. Scrap it using a fork and then allow it to set in the freezer for 8 hours or overnight. While serving scrap it again with the fork and serve immediately.

Orange Granita
Standard 1 cup measures 240 ml
Ingredients
- 3 Orange
- ½ inch piece Ginger
- Sugar /Honey as needed (Optional)
- ½ cup Water
- 1 tsp Lemon /Juice
Instructions
- Peel the skin from the orange and remove the hard outer layer if any. Separate it into individual chunks.
- In a Juicer add in the Orange Chunks, Ginger Sweetener if using.
- Finally to this add in the Water and Lemon Juice. Blend well and strain the Juice by sieving using a strainer.
- Discard the unwanted chunks after extracting the Juice completely.
- Transfer the freezer in a freezer-safe box and freeze it completely. After 4 hours the Granita would be partially set. Scrap it using a fork and then allow it to set in the freezer for 8 hours or overnight. While serving scrap it again with the fork and serve immediately.
Notes
· Scraping using a fork gives a fine texture to the granite than the ones done with a spoon.
· Serve immediately as the granite tends to lose its texture if kept outdoor for a long time,
