Homemade Rose jelly recipe with step by step pictures. It is always a fun to make Jelly in home. Kids will definitely love this idea. I have used gelatin to prepare Rose Jelly you can use China grass (agar agar) for the vegetarian version. You can indeed try many other flavours as per your kid’s preference, they will love it and indeed insist you to make it again and again.

Prep Time: 6 hours | Cook time : 5 mins | Serves: 2 |Author :Sharmila Gelatin – 1 tbsp
Water – 1 cup
Sugar – ¼ cup
Rose Extract – 2 tbsp
Sugar to roll (optional)
Step by step Method with pictures:
1. In a bowl add in Gelatin. To this add in Water. Leave it for 10 mins undisturbed. After 10 mins the gelatin would have completely set and dissolves.
2. In a sauce pan add in Water and start boiling to this add in Sugar .Let the sugar dissolve completely and then switch off the flame.
3. To this now add in the gelatin mixed water and mix well. Next add in the Rose Extract and mix well.
4. Transfer this to a plate and allow to refrigerate for about 6 hours or overnight. While you are de moulding draw line to cut into any desired shapes and the invert the mould. You will get the Rose jelly in the desired shapes.
Notes:
· You can replace gelatine with Agar Agar(China grass) for vegetarian version
· Use more sugar if you prefer a sweeter Jelly.
· The Jelly can be rolled in sugar and had for a richer version.
· The jelly can be used in Ice creams, Falooda and many more.
