served along with Roti or Jeera Rice. It has a unique taste from the seasoning

I was introduced to this recipe by
my hubby who has spent most of his bachelor life in North India. So he got to
taste this in many restaurants. However after marriage we moved to Bangalore and
he couldn’t find the same taste which he got in North Indian Dhanba’s ,so on
demand I started preparing this for him and he thoroughly enjoyed .After that this Dal Tadka
recipe never failed to make a presence in our food at least once in two weeks.

ReplyDeleteDaal Tadka is one of the most popular daal served in dhabas and restaurants , you have a interesting version there , but the next time you make add fried onions and minus curry leaves , it will give you a typical Northern taste . Curry leaves are hardly used in North except for curries . I hope you take this positively .
