Panner – 1 cup (crumbled)
Oil – 1 tbsp
Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Green chilli – 1
Crushed ginger garlic – 2 tsp
Onion – 1
Tomato – 1
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Garam Masala – ½ tsp
Salt as needed
Coriander leaves – to garnish
Kasoori methi a generous pinch
Lemon juice – from ½ lemon
Method :
1. Crumble the paneer and set it aside. In a pan heat in oil, once its hot add the fennel seeds and cumin seeds. Let it crackle.
2. Next add n the green chilli and crushed ginger garlic saute till the raw smell leaves. Next add in the onions and saute till glossy and then add in the tomatoes and cook till it leaves oil.
3. Next add the chilli powder,Garma Masala, Salt and turmeric powder. Mix well and cook in a low flame for 3mins.
4. Now add in the crumbled paneer mix well so that the masala is coated evenly over the crumbled paneer and cook in a low flame for 3-5 mins.
5. Garnish with coriander leaves and kasoori methi.Add in the lemon juice and switch off the flame. Panner bhurji is now ready to be served.
Notes:
· You can use ghee instead of oil. It gives a lovely flavour.
· Don’t cook for more time after adding the paneer.
· Goes well with roti or paratha.
