Ragi Bajra Porridge Recipe | Ragi Kambu

Ingredients:
Ragi Powder – 2 tbsp
Bajra Powder – 2 tbsp
Water – ½ cup + 4 cups
To Grind:
Coconut – 2 tbsp
Fermented Rice - 2 tbsp (Optional)
Green Chilli – 1
Cumin Seeds – ½ tsp
Butter milk – 2 tbsp
Other Ingredients:
Chopped Shallot as needed
Salt as needed
Buttermilk as needed
Method :
1.
In a bowl pan add in the Ragi powder and Bajra
powder add in half cup of water and mix well.
2.
Mix well such that it has no lumps and smooth. In
another vessel add in 4 cups of water and bring it to boil.
3.
Once it stats boiling add in the Ragi bajra
powder slurry.
4.
Mix well and cook in a low flame for 15- 20 mins.
After that allow it to cool completely.
5.
In a blender add in the coconut, green chilli,
cumin seeds and buttermilk and blend it to a fine paste.
6.
Add this to the cooled down ragi bajra porridge
and mix well.
7.
At the time of having the porridge add in the
required salt butter milk and chopped shallots and have the porridge.
