How about adding Keerai and
preparing an awesome and delicious Sambar, have kids in home whom don’t eat
Keerai, here comes one awesome way to feed them Karai. Keerai Sambar is a delicious
Kuzhambu that goes very well with Steamed Rice and any fries.
My hubby hates Keerai so now I found
one awesome way to make him eat keerai. He never complains whenever I prepare
Keerai Sambar and I am equally happy JNow let’s get started.

Ingredients:
Keerai/
Greens – 1 cup tightly packed
Shallots
– 10 nos
Green
Chilli – 2
Tamarind
– Gooseberry sized
Turmeric
powder ½ tsp
Sambar
Powder – 1 tbsp
Salt as
needed
Water
as needed
To
Temper:
Oil – 1
tbsp
Mustard
Seeds – 1 tsp
Cumin
Seeds – 1 tsp
Fenugreek Seeds – ¼ tsp
Dry Red
Chilli – 3
Hing a
pinch
Curry Leaves
a spring

Notes:

Step by step Method with pictures:
1. Pressure cook the Toor Dal until
it is fully done and set aside. Soak Tamarind in Water and extract juice out of
it and set aside. Now heat a kadai and add oil ,once it heats up add in Mustard
Seeds, Cumin Seeds and Fenugreek Seeds
2. Next add in Dry Red Chilli, Curry
Leaves and Hing fry well and then add in chopped Shallots.
Serve Keerai Sambhar with Steamed
Rice and any fries.
