Rose jelly Granita recipe with step by step pictures. Granita is semi frozen dessert made with fresh fruits, I decided to give Jelly granite a try and it really came out very well. But the granita tends to lose its texture very soon and become like an ordinary Jelly so I had to click the pics really quick and I served it with fresh fruits and a scoop of ice cream. It literally melted in mouth. So now let’s get started with the recipe.
So yesterday while I prepared the Rose Jelly, I made into two batches one is for Rose Jelly and with another one I made Granita. For vegetarian version replace Gelatin with Agar agar.

Sugar – ¼ cup
Rose Extract – 2 tbsp
Fresh fruits to garnish
Method :
1. In a bowl add in Gelatin. To this add in Water. Leave it for 10 mins undisturbed. After 10 mins the gelatin would have completely set and dissolves.
2. In a sauce pan add in Water and start boiling to this add in Sugar .Let the sugar dissolve completely and then switch off the flame.
3. To this now add in the gelatine mixed water and mix well. Next add in the Rose Extract and mix well.
4. Transfer this to a plate and allow to refrigerate for about 8 hours or overnight. Before serving take the mould outside from the fridge and scrap it with a fork and then garnish with fresh fruits and serve.
Notes:
· You can replace gelatin with Agar Agar(China grass) for vegetarian version
· Use more sugar if you prefer a sweeter Jelly.
· Tastes best when served with a scoop of ice cream.
· The jelly can be used in Ice creams, Falooda and many more.
