Dosa is a lovely variation from the regular dosa when we have some Idli Dosa
batter. I usually make this for my daughter as she loves different colours in
her food and this is one recipe which I learnt from my friends back in Bangalore
.Instead of tomato we can also add palak,Carrot ,beetroot and prepare dosa the
similar way .Now let’s see hoe to prepare this Tomato Dosa

Idli
Dosa Batter – 1 cup
Tomato
- 1 large
Ginger
a small piece
Green
Chilli – 1
Grated
coconut – ¼ cup
Water
as needed
Salt as
needed
Oil /
Ghee as needed
To
Temper :
Oil – 1
tsp
Mustard
seeds – ½ tsp
Hing a
pinch
Curry
Leaves a spring
Method :
1. In
a Kadai / Pan add in oil and once it is hot add in the chopped tomatoes
Ginger , green chilli and grated
coconut saute well for about 5 mins in a medium flame.
2. Add
this to a blender and grind it to form a fine paste. Add this to the prepared
Idli Dosa Batter.
3. Mix the batter really well and
then in another pan prepare the tadka to add in the dosa batter.Heat oil in
the pan and add in the ingredients mentioned in the “To Temper” table one by
one once they splutter add it to the Prepared batter.
4. Mix
well and Heat the tawa in stove and smear in oil, once it is hot enough pour
a ladle full of batter and spread it to form a dosa. Drizzle oil over the
edges and cook till it is done on one side.
5. Flip
and cook on the other side also. Serve hot with Chutney and Sambar.
Notes:

Serve hot with Sambar and Chutney.
· You
can also add chopped onions to the batter.
