How to make wheat flour Puttu
2. To the wheat flour add in salt and give a good mix next sprinkle water little by little and mix well till the flour resemble grains.
3. Take the mixed flour to a blender and blend it to resemble fine grains. Now the flour is ready we can assemble in the puttu mould (vessel).Layer coconut and then wheat flour alternatively.
4. Fill the vessel with the flour and coconut and then allow it to steam cook for 10-12 mins or till you get a nice aroma and then switch off the flame. Wait for 5 mins and then demould the puttu.
5. Invert the puttu mould and slowly demould it .Tasty wheat flour puttu is now ready .Serve hot with banana and Sugar.

Wheat Flour Puttu
Standard 1 cup measures 240 ml
Ingredients
- 1 cup Wheat Flour
- Salt as needed
- 3 tbsp Freshly grated coconut
- Water as needed around ¼ cup
Instructions
- Roast the wheat flour in a small pan till you get a nice aroma in a low flame .Make sure the flour don’t get burnt. After roasting switch off the flame and allow it to cool down.
- To the wheat flour add in salt and give a good mix next sprinkle water little by little and mix well till the flour resemble grains.
- Take the mixed flour to a blender and blend it to resemble fine grains. Now the flour is ready we can assemble in the puttu mould (vessel).Layer coconut and then wheat flour alternatively.

Notes
- Serve hot with Banana, Sugar, Jaggery ,Papad, Cooked green gram.Tastes good with any one of the above combination.
- You can also add grated palm jaggery to the wheat flour and cook.
