How to sprout Mung Bean/Green Gram at home

Prep Time: 18-24 hours | Cook Time :0 mins |Serves: 2 |Author :Sharmila Kingsly Green Gram /Mung Bean – 1 cup
Method 1:
1. Wash the green gram really well and allow it to soak in water overnight.Next morning strain the water using a colander and transfer the green gram to another bowl and keep closed.
2. Make sure there is no excess water in the closed bowl in the next 6-8 hours the green gram will start to sprout if you want the sprouts even more big leave it for another 8 hours.
Method 2:
1. Wash and soak green gram in a bowl of water over night. In the morning remove the excess water using a colander from the green grams and transfer them to a muslin cloth and make a knot.
2. Keep the muslin clot in the colander and cover it with a plate and leave them undisturbed. Within 4 to 8 hours the seeds starts germinating.
Notes:
· Open the bowl and toss it once in a while.
· You can also keep the green gram cover in a white damp cloth for sprouting. However both the method works.
