Instant Wheat Halwa is one of the easiest of the easiest halwa I have ever prepared. It will take not even 10 mins. Wheat flour gets cooked immediately and so be quick in preparing the halwa.
Ghee and wheat flour combined to give a yummy halwa. So give a try and now let’s see how to prepare instant wheat flour halwa.

How to make Instant Wheat Halwa
1.In a pan add in the ghee keeping 1 tbsp of ghee left .Add the almonds toast them and then remove them from the pan .In the same pan with the remaining ghee add in wheat flour.
2.Roast till in a low flame till you get a nice aroma and the colour lightly changes. Now add in the water.
3.Keep stirring so that no lumps are formed and the wheat flour is cooked well. Now add in the sugar and cardamom powder.
4.Now add in the remaining 1 tbsp of ghee and the toasted nuts. Keep cooking until the halwa leaves the sides of pan and ghee oozes out . Mix well and switch off the flame.
Serve as a dessert after a heavy meal by garnishing with toasted nuts.
Tips & Variations
- Add extra ghee if you prefer a more glossy halwa.
- Be very quick while making as the halwa gets cooked very quickly
- Always cook in a low flame as the halwa might get burnt easily if cooked in high flame.
- We can also add cashew nuts or any other nuts you prefer. I added only Almonds.

Instant Wheat Halwa | Atta ka Sheera | Godhumai Halwa
Standard 1 cup measures 240 ml
Ingredients
- ½ cup Wheat Flour / Atta
- ½ cup Sugar
- ¼ cup Ghee / Clarified Butter
- ½ cup Water
- 8 Almonds sliced
- ¼ tsp Cardamom powder
